What makes every LEGO fan crazy? Yeah, you're right it's minifigures.
And what's the most different minifigure series? It is the Collectable Minifigures. This app will help you to reveal the contents of the packs and track your collection. Meet Mini Collector app from the Better than Tomorrow. If you have read post in author's blog you will know that this app was written to help his children and all children and their parents around the world to collect the LEGO Collectable Minifigures.
Interface is very simple, but who needs extra complexity? Each series is distinguished by color.
Each series has 16 minifigures ,so it is perfecly fits in 4 x 4 square.
First two series have camera button in the top right corner, others have button with the stylized image of bump code.
Unfortunately devices before the 3GS couldn't user barcode scanner in this app, so i couldn't check this function.
If you press a bump code button, you will get a short instruction about bump code detection and the list of bump codes for the corresponding series.
When you select any bump code you will get a message telling you is this bump code already in your collection or not. This is done for not spoiling the wonderful moment of guessing what is inside.
If you tap on "Reveal" button the app show you what is inside the pack with such bump code.
A bit strange is that it is not possible to add minifigure to your collection immediately. Of course you could have mistaken with bump code, but i think the ability to add minifigure to collection would look organically on this screen.
Collection tracking is intuitive, find the minifigure and tap on it.
You will get big image of collectable minifigure with the ability to set the qty.
And everything would be great if there wasn't a fly in the ointment.
1-3 series are almost impossible to find in shops, but 4th and 5th are selling just know, but they are locked in the apps. I understand that you couldn't know revealing tips without paying 1.99$ for each of locked series(to remind on collectable minifigure generally cost 2.99$) , but why we need pay to track collection.
From AppStore we know that this locked series have feeling tips. But 2 dollars for ability to tap + or - signs or see big image of this minifigures, it is somewhat overly. Because some people won't collect one of the series fully, and why should he pay to track a couple of minifigures. But if he won't track them then the ability to track other series is useless. If you ought to pay then may be you should look at MyMinis app.
